Our Origin
Rooted in Producer Relationships
Established by Where Food Comes From, the Foundation grows out of more than 30 years working directly with farmers, ranchers, and food producers. Those relationships revealed a clear need: support that helps responsible producers keep moving forward without carrying the full burden alone. The Foundation exists to extend that work through charitable support, education, and partnerships tied to measurable agricultural practices.

Shared Commitment
Turning Stewardship Into Shared Investment
The Foundation gives donors, brands, retailers, and supply chain partners a way to invest in the producers behind verified food systems. Instead of treating sustainability as a downstream claim, the Foundation directs resources toward the people implementing animal welfare, environmental stewardship, traceability, and other responsible production practices. This creates a practical bridge between partner commitments and on-the-ground producer needs.

Practical Support
Reducing the Barriers to Better Agriculture
Many producers face real costs when pursuing certification, managing data, and reporting the practices behind responsible food production, in addition to the investments required to put those practices in place. The Foundation helps reduce those barriers so more farmers and ranchers can participate in programs that strengthen transparency and accountability across the food supply chain. As funding grows, additional initiatives may support education, outreach, producer storytelling, and aligned charitable projects.
